Fans demand socks worn by Michael Jackson: Sold for lakhs of rupees!


It's been 15 years since Michael Jackson, the sultan of pop music, left the world. But, his style, his memories, his belongings are still being valued all over the world. Now, the news that a stocking worn by Jackson has been auctioned for a whopping price has created a lot of curiosity among music lovers.
In 1997, Michael Jackson's white socks were auctioned off in France at a concert in Nimes, France. These stockings have turned a little yellow over time and have been sold for around Rs 7.70 lakh in Indian rupee terms, even though its decorative crystals are also blurred.
The stockings were found by a member of Jackson's team after an event on July 6, 1997. This man had kept it with him for so many years. Now it has been auctioned in Paris and has been handed over to a new owner.
In the past too, michael jackson's items have been auctioned for a hefty price. In 2023, his cap was sold for Rs 70 lakh in Paris. In 2009, his gloves were auctioned for Rs 3 crore.
Michael Jackson's dance moves, music, fashion sense are all iconic even today. Fans and collectors do not hesitate to spend crores of rupees on their old items just because they have cultural value.
Jackson died of a heart attack on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. But the miracle of his art is still alive. This auction is another proof of that!
