Srinagar Kitty plays a double role as Jogathi in the film 'Veshagalu'!

A film of the same name is being made based on a short story written by journalist Ravi Belagere on the life of jogatis. The film is scripted and directed by Kishan Rao Dalvi under Greentree Studios. The title teaser of the film was released recently.

It is customary to inaugurate the event by lighting a lamp. But since all the people working in the film were theatre talents, the ceremony was formally kicked off with a rendition of stage songs by Rajguru's companions. Srinagara Kitty's birthday was celebrated on Tuesday, July 8. On the same day, the title teaser of 'Veshagalu' presented by Bhavana Belagere and Srinagara Kitty was released and kitty's birthday party was held. On stage, director Kishan Rao's consent to make a film based on the story of Belagere's daughter Bhavana and his son-in-law Kitty's efforts to convince him to play Jogati were showcased on screen. The film is about our jogatis and their lifestyle. Actor Srinagara Kitty will be seen in two get-ups as Basappa and Basamma Jogati. Srinagara Kitty has already approached award-winning Manjamma Jogati for the role of Jogati and has got a lot of information about jogati's actions and words. Basappa's character in the film is almost covered.

The shooting of the film will commence from next month and will be shot in Mahakaleshwar, North Karnataka, Bengaluru and Mysore in Madhya Pradesh. Director Kishan Rao said that the rest of the cast of the film will be announced in the coming days. The film has music by Kaushik Harsha, dialogues by Rajguru Dattaraj and editing by Akshay P Rao. Film Chamber President Narasimhulu, Praveen Kumar, Shilpa Srinivas, Kushal and other dignitaries were the chief guests.
