Those who sent indecent messages to Ramya and those who made them should be punished: Rockline Venkatesh

Veteran Kannada film producer and actor Rockline Venkatesh has reacted sharply to the incident in which Darshan's fans sent indecent messages to actress Ramya. After Ramya lodged a complaint with the police in this regard, many celebrities from the film industry have also come out in support of Ramya.

The indecent and sexually harassing messages sent to Ramya have sparked a debate on social media, with Rockline calling the incident a pathetic and "tragic incident" to an artistic society. "If such a message has come against Ramya from genuine fan pages, then those who did it and those who inspired it should be punished without fail. Those who have daughters in homes should respect those in their house before scolding other girls."

He said: "Tomorrow no star actor will come to your rescue. I don't even consider people who speak in the air. "If you are a true fan, take responsibility for your actions," he said, pointing out that those who send indecent messages using the name of any hero are not true fans. Come in front of a man and accept it. Please apologise to Ramya and assure her that she will not do anything wrong in future."

He warned that social media should be used responsibly. "If someone in your house abuses girls like this, will you keep quiet? Everyone has a conscience, let it be respected," he said. He urged the film fraternity, artistes' association and public figures to take appropriate action in the matter. "Those who have taken it to a great extent should be punished," he said.
