'Kantara: Chapter 1' film shooting complete - 250 days of grand journey!

Kannada film industry's much-awaited film 'Kanthara: Chapter 1' has successfully completed 250 days of shooting. It was Rishab Shetty who led this ambitious project. Though he is directing the film, he is also playing the lead role in the same film. The announcement of this massive effort was officially announced by production house Hombale Films through YouTube.

The making video released by Hombale Films is already trending on social media, giving a glimpse of the importance of the film and the tremendous hard work. Thousands of crew members have worked hard for this film which has been in preparation for three years. The shooting, which took place day and night, continued for 250 days, which is rare in Kannada cinema.

'Kantara: Chapter 1' is planned to be released worldwide on October 2, 2025. The team is all set to reach out to the audience in different languages while retaining the cultural essence of the film. Apart from Kannada, the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali and English. The music of the film is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. He was noticed for his music in the first part of 'Kanthara'. Arvind Kashyap is the cinematographer and Vinesh Bangla is the production designer.

The makers are yet to reveal the lead cast of the film. But it is certain that Rishab Shetty will be playing the lead role.
