While the story features comedy, love and challenges of life from college days, campus love story takes a different path. The problems that lovers have to face with suspicion are also beautifully portrayed. The kind of storyline where Tana tests their relationship with a careless message gives the audience entertainment as well as a message. Pradeep Doddaiah has shown promise as a hero and director while Hruthik Srinivas has won the hearts of the audience. Yogaraj Bhat, Achyuth Kumar, Mahantesh Hiremath give comedy and emotional depth to the film. If the plus and minus climax had turned out impressive, some double meaning dialogues could have been avoided. While technically there are opportunities to grow the film further, even the first attempt is a good effort. 'Out of Syllabus' is a meaningful lesson for college boys and a thought-provoking film for lovers.
