Veteran actress ‘Abhinaya Saraswathi’. Following the death of Saroja Devi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited her residence in Malleswaram and paid her last respects. Consoling the family, the CM said, "She is a multilingual actress. He has contributed immensely to Kannada cinema. His passing away is an irreparable loss."
Saroja Devi has worked with stars of all languages and has earlier worked with MGR, MTR, Rajkumar and Sivaji Ganesan The last rites will be performed at 1.30 pm as per Vokkaliga traditions, next to his mother's samadhi at Dasavara village in Ramanagara. Last respects will be paid with state honours by the district administration.
