"Darshan darshana at Chamundi Hill with his wife on Ashadha Friday – a flame of celebration among the devotees!"

On the second Friday of the month of Ashadha, a sea of devotees thronged Chamundi Hill in Mysuru. Thousands of devotees thronged the temple early in the morning to have darshan of Goddess Chamundeshwari.

On this occasion, Sandalwood actor Darshan Thoogudeepa along with his wife arrived at Chamundi Hill and offered special pujas to his mother. Darshan's tradition of having darshan of the goddess at Ashadha every year was repeated this time. Darshan and his wife, who were engaged in devotion, had darshan of the goddess and participated in the puja.

On darshan's arrival, his fans gathered around the car and greeted him with "Dibas, Dibas". On this occasion, fans took photos and videos and expressed their happiness. Special decorations have been made for Chamundeshwari and abhishekams will be performed from 3.30 am onwards and public darshan will be allowed from 6 am onwards. Basic amenities like free buses, drinking water, toilets have been arranged for the convenience of the devotees. Police were deployed for high security.
