Anirudh Jatkar appeals to confer posthumous Karnataka Ratna award on Sahasasimha Vishnuvardhan

Late actor Sahasasimha Dr. Vishnuvardhan's son-in-law and actor Anirudh Jatkar has requested for the Karnataka Ratna award posthumously on the occasion of his 75th birthday.
He met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and expressed the wishes of his fans in this regard. Anirudh said that September 18 is Vishnuvardhan's 75th birthday and he deserves this honour on this special occasion.
Vishnuvardhan's contribution to Kannada cinema and the world of art is invaluable. It is a matter of pain for his fans that he has not received the Karnataka Ratna from the state, just as he has not been awarded the Padma Shri by the central government so far.
Anirudh Jatkar and millions of fans are hoping that this honour should be given at a proud moment of the 75th anniversary of Vishnuvardhan's centenary.
