Kichcha Sudeep's 'Mark' title controversy

One of the most anticipated films of Kannada cinema, 'Mark' has been in the news even before its release. The reason is the controversy surrounding the title of the film. Recently, when actor Kichcha Sudeep celebrated his birthday, he gave a double gift to his fans. The new poster of 'Billa Ranga Basha', the short teaser of 'Mark' Jhalak, Sudeep, who gave a tough look in a new hairstyle, and Ajay Markande, a police officer in the teaser, have impressed the audience. The film marks the reunion of Vijay Karthikeyan, who had earlier directed the superhit 'Max'. 'Mark' is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and is all set to release on December 25, Christmas.

The title 'Mark' has been fixed by shortening the name Markande to suit the lead role in the Sudeep starrer. However, the same title has now become a subject of controversy. Young producer Manu Raj shared the video on Instagram and wrote, "We have already registered the title 'Mark' with the Film Chamber under Gaurav Movie Makers. But how can someone else get the same title?"

He claimed to have obtained documents related to the title on May 20, 2024, and shared the evidence related to the same on social media as well. The confusion of double commercial councils? There are two different chambers of commerce functioning in Kannada cinema regarding title registration. Some are more likely to register for the same title on one board and another on another board for the same reason for the same reason. Many such incidents have taken place in the past and have led to a huge debate.

On the other hand, fans are going gaga over the teaser of 'Mark' and the craze for Sudeep's new avatar has increased. The film will be released in 5 languages, cinematography: Shekhar Chandra, music: Ajaneesh Loknath, cast list: Deepshika, Guru Somasundaram, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Roshni Prakash, Dragon Manju and others.

According to the makers, there is no storyline between 'Mark' and 'Max'. It's a completely different action entertainer. The current title controversy has created a lot of curiosity in the Kannada film industry. How will the Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce respond to Manu Raj's request? Who will finally get the title 'Mark'? These are now hot topics in the eyes of the audience. However, one thing is certain – if Sudeep's 'Mark' shares screen space for Christmas, the box office is sure to be a hit.
