"After my uncle's demise, boys are not sitting Ganesha in our area" - Vinay Rajkumar's statement

Gauri-Ganesha festival is being celebrated across the country. Ganapati Bappa is seated in the streets and houses and pujas, devotion and gaiety are being performed. However, Vinay Rajkumar, who is one of the least members of Rajkumar's family, shared the sad fact that he has in mind this time.

Vinay got emotional when he shared his family's memories of Ganesh festival. "In our area, boys used to sit Ganesha every year. My uncle (Puneeth Rajkumar) was also seen celebrating with the boys. But after my uncle's demise, the boys stopped sitting Ganesha," vinay said. "As a child, my uncle used to sit with the boys in the area and enjoy ganesha. I have heard but not seen it. But during Ganesh visarjan, a procession used to come in front of our house. We were all dancing together. My uncle was also walking as bindass."

Sharing about the festive celebrations at his home, Vinay said: "Every year on the day of Gauri festival, we bring gauri and ganesha idols home. One day we will perform puja in a grand manner. Then we excrete it in water. There is a lot of celebration in our house. All the members of the family eat together and relive the old memories."

Vinay shared these memories while promoting keerthy Krishna's upcoming film 'Andondhu Kaala'. Starring Aditi Prabhudeva as the female lead, the film has huge expectations from fans. Vinay recalled that Puneeth Rajkumar himself attended the muhurat of the film and wished him well. In 2019, a video of Puneeth Rajkumar dancing happily in front of his house during a Ganesh procession in Sadashivanagar went viral. Vinay's words recalling those memories today are bringing tears to the eyes of Appu fans.
