There is a saying that if you overdo it, the nectar also becomes poison. When pride is too much, it becomes superstitious. We are seeing more such superstitious behaviours among the fans of film stars. The latest example is a strange incident surrounding a song from actor Darshan's new film 'Devil'.

The song "Idre Nemdiyarbek" from Darshan starrer 'Devil' has created a huge buzz within a few days of its release. The song has garnered over one crore views in just four days and has become the no.5 trending song globally. Ajaneesh Loknath's music, Aniruddha Shastri's lyrics and Deepak Blu's voice add a lot of craze to the song.

It is generally a good practice for the baby in the mother's womb to listen to shlokas, bhajans, melodious music. According to studies, after 20 weeks, the baby can hear the mother's voice and outside music. It also helps in the development of the baby's brain. But a Darshan fan made a video of him listening to the song 'Devil' to his wife's unborn child and shared it on social media! While some praised and defended it, many said it was "not pride, it was superstition".

Earlier, when Darshan was jailed, his prisoner's number 6106 was tattooed by his fans. Some even had the number written on their vehicles. Such incidents make clear the gap between pride and superstition. Directed by Prakash, 'Devil' is an action thriller. Rachana Rai plays the female lead in the film, which also stars Achyuth Kumar, Mahesh Manjrekar and others in pivotal roles. The film has been shot in Bengaluru, Mysore, Rajasthan and Thailand and is slated to release on December 12.

Though actor Darshan is in jail in the Renukaswamy case, fans are waiting in anticipation that he will come out by the time the film releases. What do you think? Is it a matter of pride for a pregnant woman's child to listen to the song 'Devil'? Superstitious?
