'Comedy Khiladigalu' actor Chandrashekhar Siddhi's suicide case: Was it due to harassment by his wife?

Chandrasekhar Siddhi, who won the hearts of the audience with his comedy talent in the third season of 'Comedy Khiladigalu', committed suicide by hanging himself on July 31. There has now been a big twist in the case in connection with the incident.
Chandrasekhar's mother Lakshmi, suspecting her son's death, lodged a complaint against his wife Kamalakshi at yellapur police station. According to him, the reason for Chandrashekhar's suicide was constant physical and mental harassment by his wife. A video featuring his wife assaulting her with a stick and a broom has also gone viral and has emerged as a key witness in the case. Though he rose to fame with comedy khiladigals, Chandrasekhar later suffered from mental depression due to lack of opportunities on television. Since January 2025, he has been under a lot of mental stress and returned to his village, Chimanalli, and started working as a labourer with his wife in Kabbige village.
According to Chandrasekhar's mother, there were frequent quarrels in her married life and she had to face assault and humiliation from her wife. The video of his wife's assault is also clearly visible in the viral video. As per the preliminary investigation of the police, it is highly likely that harassment by his wife Kamalakshi was the direct reason for the suicide. The police are already ready to take legal action against Kamalakshi.
The case has not only shown the entertainment industry but also the seriousness of marital problems within the society. Chandrasekhar's sudden departure has shocked the hearts of fans.
