Darshan case effect: Supreme Court issues stern warning to those who smoke cigarettes in jail!

The Supreme Court on Friday cancelled the bail of seven accused, including actor Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, in the Renukaswamy murder case. The apex court strongly condemned the failure of the high court order and slammed the special facilities being given to darshan in jail.
The jail authorities have warned that strict action will be taken if such an unfair facility is provided in future. Notably, the apex court has directed that if any prisoner smokes a cigarette or its photo is leaked in the jail, direct action will be taken against the jail authorities concerned. The order has sounded alarm bells for all high courts and jails in the state.
