Shankar Nag is a revolutionary in the Kannada film industry today (November 9) is the 70th birth anniversary of kannada actor Shankar Nag. His contribution to Kannada cinema is immense. Through his broad-eyed dreams, he revolutionized the film industry and the development of Karnataka. Shankar Nag established a song re-recording studio in Bengaluru for the first time in Kannada cinema. Earlier, the re-recording of all the songs was done in Madras (present-day Chennai). Shankar Nag had to go to Madras or Mumbai for songs in Kannada films. Shankar Nag decided to change this. He set up a re-recording studio in Bengaluru with the help of his brother Anant Nag and other friends. Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde was present to inaugurate the studio. Shankar Nag's vision of developing technology and facilities in Kannada as much as possible was successful. Moreover, he had dreamt of getting metro in Bengaluru. As per his wish, the construction of a ropeway at Nandi Hills was also a part of his long-term vision. Apart from these, Shankar Nag has given several super hit films as one of the most popular heroes in Kannada cinema. Though he passed away at the age of 35, his dreams and achievements are always alive in Kannada cinema.
