The bail of seven main accused, including Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, has been cancelled following a Supreme Court order and they have returned to Parappana Agrahara jail. The verdict has given hope to Renukaswamy's family to get justice. But the family is yet to forget the pain of losing their loved one.

The pain suffered by Renukaswamy's wife Sahana after his murder is indescribable. She was initially not informed about her husband's death as she was pregnant. "Somehow save their lives, I will take care of them even if their hands and legs are gone, bring them back," she said. But eventually only her husband's body had to be found.

Renukaswamy's parents are in tears remembering that day. "We told our daughter-in-law that we would bring her, but we didn't tell her that she would come dead," she said. It was difficult to identify the body when he was taken to the hospital. His mouth and lips were bitten by a dog. There were bruises on all parts of his face. The body was completely swollen. In the end, he had to identify his son by his clothes and costumes.

"I will not justify my son's mistake. But the punishment could have been given to the extent of the mistake. Pavithra Gowda could have blocked and lodged a complaint with the police. They were so big, did they have to take their lives? Should 8-10 people have killed one person?" said Kashinathaiah, his father.

Now the Supreme Court verdict has given some courage to Renukaswamy's family. But the pain of losing their son does not come in place. His wife, parents and family are still waiting for justice. The Renukaswamy murder case has rocked the Kannada film industry and now all eyes are on the court's verdict on whether the family will get justice.
