Fans request Rebel Star Ambareesh to be awarded 'Karnataka Ratna'

Veteran actress Tara Anuradha has requested the Kannada film industry to confer the Karnataka Ratna award on popular actor and politician Rebel Star Ambareesh.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Actress Anuradha met Shivakumar and submitted a memorandum on behalf of her fans. "Ambareesh's contribution to social service, film industry and politics is immense. They deserve due respect," he said.

Ambareesh earned him the title of "Karna of Kaliyuga" for his unique style, simple conduct and pro-people politics. He was a supporter of many artists in the film industry and was a favourite of all in politics without any party affiliations.

Apart from acting, Ambareesh also made his mark in social service. From the common man to his colleagues, he has a permanent place in the minds of the people because of his involvement in the problems of everyone. Recently, Kannada actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan and B. Saroja Devi was conferred with the Karnataka Ratna award. Following this, there has been a demand for Ambareesh to be given the Karnataka Ratna award posthumously.

Taking to social media, fans wrote, "Ambareesh's service and contribution will never be forgotten. Giving him the 'Karnataka Ratna' is a true honour," he said. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what decision the government will take in this regard. If Ambareesh's name is included in the list of 'Karnataka Ratna' awardees, it will bring immense joy to the Kannada film industry and fans.
