Lovely Star Prem's children celebrate Raksha Bandhan – Sweet bond between sister and brother

Kannada cinema's lovely star Prem and Jyothi recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in a grand manner. Their children Amrita Prem and Ekant Prem are not only for the pride of the family but also for their sister-in-law bond. On the occasion of RakshaBandhan, Amrita recalled the memories she shared with her younger brother and her childhood moments filled with love, laughter and fights.
In the words of Amrita Prem, Ekant is not just a younger brother, but a responsible person like an elder brother. "He knows more things than I do. Though he is a little fussing outside, he is more serious than me at home. But when I am with him, I behave like a child." Attributing Ekanth to her love for cinema, Amrita said, "He has been crazy about cinema since childhood. It was his performance in 'Gurushishyaru' that inspired me to take up acting. I am the first fan of his acting."
The sisters, who used to fight frequently as a child, have now grown into supporters of each other. "Even today, if my mother and I fight, he will stand by me. It is my dream that he should be launched as a mass hero," Amrita said. Amrita also lovingly shared the traditions of Rakshabandhan day and wrote, "Every morning, I tie rakhi to Ekanth with folded hands to God, eat sweets and wish him. When I was young, my mother used to bring rakhi and gifts. Now he will choose my gift and bring it."
This rare bond of brother-brother, mutual love and support, makes the meaning of Rakshabandhan even sweeter.
