"Big work needs more time" - Rakshit Shetty finally talks about 'Richard Antony'

There are three stars in Kannada cinema who will be remembered by everyone when they hear the name Shetty Gang – Rishab Shetty, Raj B Shetty and Rakshit Shetty. The trio has brought new water to Kannada cinema in their own style. He brought in different efforts, new kinds of storylines and pan-India craze. While Rishab Shetty and Raj B Shetty are constantly active, fans are of the opinion that Rakshit Shetty is the only one who is a bit dull.

Rakshit, who shot to fame with his portrayal of Richie in 'Others Kandante', had announced 'Richard Antony' with the intention of telling the story of the character. Though it has already been four years since the announcement, the film is yet to be completed. It was learnt that the film was to be produced by Hombale Films. But the shooting has not started and there is no update. As a result, rumours started doing the rounds that the film had stopped and Hombale had backed out.

Rakshit Shetty, who recently attended the Navika Kannadiga Conference in the US, was directly asked by fans, "When will Richard Antony come?" To which Rakshit replied, "Sometimes it takes more time while doing a big job." In his speech, he spoke about the importance of Kannada language, love and cinema. But the question on the minds of the fans was the same – when was Richard Antony?

According to Rakshit Shetty, the script was ready at the time of writing the story. But since then, several changes have been made. Efforts are being made to make films of international standards. There is a saying that this is why so much time is being taken.

Rishab Shetty's 'Kanthara' and Raj B Shetty's 'Garden City Gangsters' are the most talked about films. While Rakshit Shetty's silence has disappointed his fans, his faith in him has not diminished. Rakshit, who has given a cult film like 'Sapta Sagaradaache Ello', is expected to give a film of the same level or higher again.

Overall, 'Richard Antony' may still take time. But looking at Rakshit Shetty's style, fans are hoping that it will be a unique effort.
