Director Guruprasad's funeral was performed as per Brahmin traditions 'Mata' and 'Eddelu Manjunath' film director Guruprasad was cremated at the Wilson Garden crematorium in Bengaluru as per Brahmin tradition. Yograj Bhatt, Duniya Vijay, Dolly Dhananjay, Neenasam Satish, Tabla Nani and many others came and paid their last respects to this last rite which was held in the presence of family members. Born in Kanakapur in 1972, Guruprasad entered the Kannada film industry as a director in 2006 with the film 'Mata'. The film 'Eddelu Manjunatha' directed by him won the Filmfare Award. He also directed the films 'Director Special' and 'Eradane Sala'. Guruprasad has appeared in several films not only as a director but also as an actor. He has participated as a judge in many reality shows including Kichcha Sudeep's Kannada Bigg Boss, and is remembered by the audience for his unique style.
